This meditative VR experience uses the player’s breathing as the core mechanic, guiding them through an immersive journey inspired by the seven chakras.
Designed to be calming and progressively more engaging, the game responds to the user’s breath to enhance presence and relaxation. As part of a university project, I took the lead on research and documentation — creating the GDD, pitch materials, and conducting interviews with our target and general VR audiences to make informed design decisions. More technical tasks included setting up and creating the level as well as designing challenges that also relax the user.
I also led the research into breathing-based haptic input, helping the team implement a custom stretch sensor worn around the diaphragm to accurately detect and respond to different breathing patterns.
